Calling members of the Armed Forces and Veterans!

Are you a current or former member of the armed forces? Do you want to share your views and experiences on how a dedicated advice service for the forces can benefit you and your community? If so, you are invited to join a focus group for Citizens Advice Portsmouth which will take place in June via video meeting. A focus group is a research technique used to collect data through group interaction. The group comprises of a small number of carefully selected people who discuss a given topic. Focus groups are used to identify and explore how people think and behave, and they throw light on why, what and how questions.

This focus group will explore the challenges and opportunities that service personnel and veterans face in accessing advice. Your input will help us to improve our support and advocacy for you, your fellow and ex-service members. The focus group will last for about an hour.

We are looking for ideas that are specific and targeted and this could include addressing hidden needs, as well as needs that are more well known. We will be more likely to get funding for projects that focus on specific groups of people within Armed Forces communities, rather than more general approaches. We are also keen to see that the people who will benefit from the project are able to shape how it will be delivered.
