We are excited to announce MoneyWorks, a new service offered by Citizens Advice Portsmouth. MoneyWorks is free training in financial capability. We are delighted to be running (group and individual) workshop sessions for adults living in the PO1 – PO6 postcode areas.
MoneyWorks is a part of the Multiply Programme, the government funded, nationwide initiative to improve adult numeracy, financial literacy and develop skills for life. We know, dealing with complicated money issues can be off-putting, especially if you're feeling out of your depth. If this sounds like you, you're not alone. We can help. If you don't always understand how budgeting, borrowing and debt works, you may not be making the most of your money and might be struggling to achieve your future goals. Knowing where you are financially (monthly or even weekly) can help you thrive, increase your money confidence and positively impact your wellbeing. That knowledge can also help avoid unmanageable financial circumstances such as routine overspending or spiralling debt.
MoneyWorks training is friendly, informal and easy to follow. The aim is to refresh and build on your existing money knowledge. To learn the essentials of Budgeting; spending, saving and exploring useful and practical ways to maximise your income to improve your financial stability. We will unpick the complexities of Borrowing and Debt, giving you the facts and essential knowledge, to enable you to make informed decisions and avoid financial pitfalls.
Our bookable workshop sessions are confidential, and can be tailored for employees, small community groups and individuals.
