A quick look back at a successful year for Citizens Advice Portsmouth.
- Our free, confidential, impartial service client satisfaction shows that 70% of people rate us as good and 15% as excellent. We also asked if people would be able to sort out their problems without us and 80% said they couldn't.
- We have had a fantastic year for our immigration service - heading again for over 800 clients advised and supported. Our social enterprise was launched in May and is making a strong contribution to the community by enabling all proceeds to be redistributed into our free advice services.
- In 2023, Hampshire Macmillan Citizens Advice Service dealt with 3375 people who have been affected by cancer, securing a better-off income over £12.2 million. The team in Portsmouth assisted 1178 clients and amassed just over £4 million for them.
- Between November 2022 and October 2023, our Help to Claim service supported 4,674 clients by phone and online chat. 97% of these clients surveyed were satisfied with our service and 93% said we helped them find a way forward.
- Our Money and Pension Advice team have consistently achieved good levels of client contact. Single people represent the highest number, with the cost of living and income for single households being particularly challenging, especially when linked to increased private rents in the area.
- Our Research and Campaigns, this year has been working with the whole team developing understanding and increasing confidence in raising concerns about policies and practices that are unfair or unjust.
We are here to help.
